NEW PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONER.
Buckwheat Valley Citizens Coalition (BVCC) has learned that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has appointed Ellen Nowak as the new Public Service Commissioner (PSC) for Wisconsin. She was formerly Chief of Staff to Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas, and previously served as legal counsel to the Speaker's Office in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2002-2006. BVCC extends best wishes to Ellen Nowak. BVCC trusts that she will make smart consumer focused decisions to meet the many challenges ahead. There are now two commissioners sitting on the PSC appointed by Governor Walker. How politics plays out in this commission's rulings will be of great interest to everyone. The best outcome would be if the new PSC lived up to its name, and was "politic neutral."
