LETTER TO BVCC - CITIZEN SPEAKS - LOUD AND CLEAR.

"Regarding ATC: ATC just has one mission, to build and maintain transmission lines in a certain area (it is not a diabolical company trying to destroy humanity). The harder anyone makes it to do what they do, the more it costs everyone, because they are a cost plus type of company.  Whatever they spend, the rate payers pay.  The more something costs ATC, the more that same something costs rate payers. If you want them to zig-zag lines around remote unpopulated areas (like the Kickapoo River) and double the cost, well, guess who pays double the cost, us, not them.  Anyway, ATC is just building a transmission line, not making the area into a nuclear toxic waste zone like Japan.  The high towers you and your friends bitch about actually preserve the forest, as lower towers would require a swath to be cut so the trees would not touch the wires. It is a dichotomy if you use electricity and you do not support building towers.

Did you go on the Time or Use rate yet?  If not, why not, if you are so concerned about energy use, that is an easy thing to do. I live on the same planet you do, and lots of things are wrong, but, building transmission lines is not one of them."
